Tranquille Vienne

Tranquille Vienne Gites are situated close to the Charente/Limousin border; 5km away from the local market town of Chabanais which has shops, bars, restaurants and the weekly French market, every Thursday. Confolens is 15 minutes away, St Junien 20 minutes and Limoges Bellegarde Airport is 35 minutes.  The capital of Charente, Angouleme is a 40 minute drive south-west of us.  We have many lakes around the area offering man-made beaches, snack bars and watersports.  Les Lacs de Haute Charente are only 10 minutes for watersports, beaches and fishing.

Peyras is a small hamlet between Exideuil (which is on the river Vienne) and Chirac. All our gites have local town names, however, they are all based in Peyras.

There are many things to do around the area so if you like playing golf, walking, cycling, we can point you in the right direction.  Other attractions close by include the Velo Rail, Aventure Parc or maybe you’re into watersports – then down to the River in Exideuil or further down river to Confolens.  Plenty of beautiful Churches and Chateaux to see on your travels!  Or maybe, you're into the historical side and want to visit Oradour-sur-glane (link available).

Our gite complex comprises of a 3 bedroomed cottage and 2, two bedroomed gites - all offering comfortable and affordable accommodation with character.  Each gite has it's own private area for relaxing.   With garden furniture provided either in your garden (for the Confolens Gite) or on your own terrace (Chabanais and Rochechouart Gites).  The gites are set in just under an acre of gardens, with a shared above ground swimming pool (8m x 4m), swing, table tennis, table football, trampoline and room to play - perfectly safe for the kids.

Off road/undercover parking in our hangar for motorbikes.  Free range eggs also available to buy on site from our chickens!
