We had a lovely two weeks in the Chabanais Gite. It was so relaxing and the kids enjoyed being at Tranquille Vienne so much: playing with the other children; in the pool; on the trampoline; feeding the chickens and throwing balls for Troy (the dog), that it was difficult to get them to go anywhere else. Luckily Guy and Julie were on site to give us advice on some great places to go so that we didn't get moaned at too much for having dragged them away!

Tranquille Vienne: Laying between Exideuil and Chirac. Two little villages I never heard off; so you might also wonder what type of gîtes will be there? Well the answer is simple: well furnished, perfect shower and good beds. All you need for a good holiday is there. Special for families with little children: swimming pool trampoline and a large grass field.
On a few miles distance is Etagnac beach, a man made sandy beach at the Etagnac lake, our grand children loved it there. There is shade and they sell ice creams!
Moreover Julie and Guy are always there for help or advise. And last but not least their lovely Border Collie, who is always somewhere in the garden, extreme friendly and willing to play for a while. Maybe it is not the most exiting place of France, but for us it was lovely with the landscapes, sleepy old villages and the farmlands. We loved it and so did our little grandchildren who were at a nearby campground with their parents.

Tranquille Vienne is just as amazing as it looks and sounds. Already planning our next visit! Guy , Julie, Jade and Troy are all smashing! They go out of their way to help make your visit a brilliant one!
Guy was kind enough to make my mum and I genuine GJ braclets from lumps of french oak, they are absolutely gorgeous! His wooden games are pretty entertaining too, even managed to beat him once!
Julie makes the most amazing ratatouille with home grown veg! Plus she's got the inside info if your thinking of moving to France.
Jade supplies lovely eggs and can introduce you to the chickens responsible!!!!!
And Troy is just so entertaining chasing his birds non-stop!
There's everything you could wish for in the surrounding area no matter what your looking for. We tended to end up on the beach most afternoons, got a fantastic tan in just a week!
Wish I was still there to be honest!!!!!!

We booked with Julie and Guy for one night, and loved it soooo much, we stayed for another! Extremely high standard of accommodation in beautiful surroundings. You can tell the family really love what they are doing. Big hugs and kisses to Jade, Troy and the chickens from Rachel, and a huge thank you from Shirley-Ann. We will be back!
